New product launches for summer

March 17, 2009

We have introduced over 30 new products in our recently released Spring & Summer Product Guide. The new additions range from innovative mini starter & buffet products to light and tempting individual desserts that are ideal for the warmer months. Our new Product Guide also includes a Cooked & Continental Breakfast feature and a Café & Coffee Shop feature, both of which are full of interesting product and menu suggestions.

“Caterers are already planning for summer and are on the lookout for fresh new ideas to replace the winter warming dishes that are on their existing menus”, said Tim Shearer, Marketing Manager for 3G Food Service & Seafood Solutions. “Our just-launched Spring & Summer Product Guide is full of delicious new products which we hope will provide caterers with inspiration this summer! These include a selection of hand-made, artisan-style fruit patisserie products, two zesty Sous-Vide Style main courses, a range of four different spicy Indian Curries, fruity Mini Summer Puddings and a premium 3G Select Dessert.”

Tim continues: “It’s our aim to make the transition from winter to summer menus as easy as possible for our customers by introducing innovative products to our range and also offering ideas to help with menu planning. This is why we have included two new features on Breakfasts and Café & Coffee Shops in our new Product Guide, which is packed full of menu suggestions to tempt diners with.”

“Our Breakfast feature offers suggestions for compiling a continental and cooked breakfast offering and includes a wide range of products from lighter buttery Croissants and Danish Pastries to more filling Hash Browns and Cumberland Sausages. Our Café & Coffee Shop feature is designed to offer menu inspiration to the café and coffee shop sector, which has enjoyed considerable growth over the past few years. The feature focuses on a variety of products that are suitable for these outlets from our delicious new 3G Select Chocolate Brownie to Doughnuts, Scones and Muffins and a host of other suggestions!”

“Dining al fresco is also very popular throughout the summer months and our new Product Guide features some interesting product ideas for barbecues! Barbecues can be extremely cost effective ways of offering customers low cost food that can generate good food sales and additional drinks revenue. Our range features all of the traditional barbecue favourites in addition to innovative products such as added value fish and seafood skewers and tasty Bison and Wild Boar Burgers and Sausages.”
