MBO for 3G Food Service

We are pleased to announce that the management team of 3G Food Service has successfully completed a management buyout (MBO) of the business, with 3G consequently becoming an independent company with senior management retaining 100% ownership of the family business.
The move will enable the 3G business and management team to focus upon its core activities and improve the service provided to its customer base.
The management buyout has been led by Ben Smales, Managing Director of 3G Food Service Ltd, and was completed on the 10th November 2009.
Ben explains the significance of the move for 3G and its customers …

Despite the difficult economic climate, we continue to expand and achieve excellent results. We are looking forward to the future and the prospect of advancing both 3G Food Service and 3G Seafood Solutions. In fact, through the MBO, investments are already being made that are enabling us to reconfigure both our sales and distribution infrastructures and associated ways of working. The result will be a vastly improved and optimised service to customers, with important additional benefits.
